The Institute offers customized programs to meet specific organizational requirements. The courses are designed to include interactive sessions comprising case studies, group/panel discussions, experiential methods and workshops. Besides ensuring the relevance of the programs, careful attention is also given to implementation. This is achieved by involving top management from the client organization to ensure that development supports the corporate mission and objectives, and by using real issues as vehicles of learning.
IDBITC believes in the credo that individuals are participants in their own development rather than passive recipients of learning. The participants are, therefore, introduced to the concepts and skills of lifelong learning and self-managed development.
The institute even offers training to officers of other organizations by maintaining international standards and with the support of rich pool of in-house faculty and guest faculty borrowed from institutes of global repute
In order to cater to the increasing requirement of training for the officers, both new recruits as well as the existing staff at the Zonal level, nine Zonal Training Centers (ZTCs) have been set-up at Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Nagpur, Ahmadabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar and Delhi for conducting training programmes to cover the employees in the Zones concerned. Each ZTC is headed by a senior officer of the bank who is entrusted with the responsibility of drawing up the training plans for employees in the Zone. These nine Zonal Training Centers function under the guidance of IDBITC, which also gives overall support, inter alia, in the form of providing the programme schedules, reading materials, presentations and also faculty support as and when necessary. ZTCs are also supported by the Branch Heads and senior officers within the Zone for handling the sessions apart from experienced faculty who come from other banks, financial institutions, consultancy firms and reputed colleges. The infrastructure facilities at the ZTCs include class rooms with advanced interactive communication systems, computer lab, library, pantry and lobby for the participants to relax and interact during breaks. Accommodation is generally provided at the nearby standard hotels.
