IDBI Training College (IDBITC), is India's premier training institute, world renowned for its excellence in imparting training programs in financial and corporate space. Acclaimed on National and International platforms, IDBITC holds a proud legacy of around three decades having trained thousands of banking professionals both from India and Abroad and have a prominent name in the training domain for bankers in the SAARC nations in countries like Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bangladesh etc. IDBITC is also vividly known for its long International associations with World Bank, Harvard Interaction Program, ADFIAP, Euromoney, BFIN, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IBBI to name a few. IDBITC provides a unique training experience in the midst of picturesque beauty of sky touching trees spread over sprawling 50 acres of natural surroundings with all modern facilities. The infrastructure at IDBITC has been aesthetically designed by internationally recognized architect Charles Correa. The institute is integrated with traditional YOGA, fitness care, sports, library and state of the art facilities.

IDBITC through training intervention, provides a platform for effective insights for everyday management in line with the global best practices, thus, contributing to the mission of IDBI Bank of pursuing cutting edge training. Supporting the academic training and research with its modern infrastructure, IDBITC executed around 500 effective virtual training programs conducted across various verticals through its online reach in the Post-Covid stint.

At IDBITC, we aim to provide a vivid exposure with Academicians, Researchers, and Specialist Connoisseurs in their field. The programs are tailor-made for imparting specialised and advanced training in various functional areas of banking viz. Priority Sector, NMG, Credit, Audit, Trade Finance, Treasury, IAD, Risk Dept, RBG, Finance & Accounts, Information Security, and HR etc. Further, customised training have also been conducted on Working Capital, NPA Management, Retail Assets, Cash Management Services (CMS) & Government Business, Cyber Security, Executive programme on Sales excellence, Project Finance, MDP on Leadership Excellence, IBC workshops etc.

In order to percolate the learning culture, IDBITC also promoted E-Learning with a bouquet of more than 300 E-learning modules on varied areas of Banking. E-Learning has been used as a tool for inculcating learning habit by assigning mandatory assignments to almost all employees as well as blending flagship programs of IDBITC with E-Learning certification supplements.

IDBITC is also a house of various learning and skill development initiatives with a strong think tank. It has successfully ideated and implemented key human resource learning and development projects viz. Employee Engagement cum Satisfaction Survey (EESS), Mentorship Program (MP), and Mid-Career Training (MCT) for officers of IDBI Bank to build a fully engaged workforce thus aligning the goals of individuals with the organisation. IDBITC an Apex Training Institute of IDBI Bank Ltd., formerly known as Jawaharlal Nehru institute of Banking and Finance (JNIBF) is established on National and International platform and has carved its niche in the training space.

Infrastructure

Architecture of IDBITC: Charles Correa designed IDBITC keeping in view the training requirements of senior managers from banks in India and abroad. The pattern and layout of the building has been designed to encourage informal interaction and discussion among the participants and faculty members. The architecture is evidence to the complex system of interdependent spaces, organized around a series of landscaped courtyards, so as to provide the humidified micro-climate necessary in the hot-dry climate of Hyderabad. The outside walls of the complex are white, with the warm earth colours and the landscaped courtyards glowing from within.

The sequence of courtyards connects the Auditorium to the Academicia and the Faculty Square that form the public zone. Along a cross axis, another sequence leads one up through the gently ascending levels of the sloping site, past the lounges, the Reception and the computer lab to the residential rooms, which are laid out around smaller courtyards that form the private zone. From the residential rooms out towards the external landscape, there is an analogous pattern of layering: each room has a small sit-out porch, which in turn relates to the cluster of other such porches, all located on terrace gardens, from where one can go out into the surrounding landscape.
In the centre of the entire complex is the kund (named as Narmada square), whose stone steps echo the boulder-strewn landscape of Hyderabad, creating a focus in the centre of the complex – an ideal place for casual conversations, as also for concerts and more formal occasions.

Charles Correa (1930 – 2015) Charles Correa, an Indian Architect of international repute, Urban planner and academician, and also known as India’s world architect has designed IDBITC in the year 1986 and the project was completed in 1991. His principle concept in the design of this institute was to stimulate informal interaction between the students and faculty by the architecture itself. An influential and inspiring architect, he is credited for his unique style of interpreting traditional Indian architectural elements in the creation of modern architecture in post independence India. His architecture was sensitive towards use of traditional method and materials, the needs of the urban poor and transformation of Indian cities. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1972, and the second highest civilian honour, the Padma Vibhushan in 2006. He received Royal Gold Medal for architecture, by the Royal Institute of British Architects in 1984 and the Aga Khan Award in 1998.

• Loosen your muscles and sweat out at the Badminton Court. For a change, if you feel like playing anytime in the night too, we have fitted the place with flood-lights to keep you energized all-through

• Keeping in mind the special tastes of select few, we have also provided the facility of Table Tennis in both the buildings of the campus

• Daily morning yoga classes are held under the guidance of experienced Yoga teacher to rejuvenate oneself both physically and mentally

• Nalanda Square is an ideal place for casual conversations and the surrounding ambience takes one back to the ancient kingdom of Magadha

• Open Auditorium is an alluring place where Welcome Dinner is held on the first day of their training program to give them an opportunity to interact and socialize with others
